Wanted: Innovative upcycling ideas with body sheet metal from old vehicles!

Get inspired by current research projects that focus on the reuse of end-of-life vehicle components and then design your own body panel upcyling ideas. Theemphasis lies on closing material cycles in a value-preserving manner.
Even if the recyclability of metals is high compared to other fractions, there are other options to act even more resource-efficiently and sustainably. The DesignLab for Applied Research, a partnership research institution of the Technical University of Dresden and the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, is looking for ways to reuse metallic products in the most resource-saving and uncomplicated way possible, without the energy-intensive detour via the blast furnace.
