In a series of speeches and discussions, Bavaria's design faculties grant an insight into the state of design research in Bavaria - as part of an exhibition inaugurated by State Minister Markus Blume.
The exhibition "Design Research Bavaria - Present and Future" exhibits research approaches and results achieved by Bavaria's design faculties. The works on display exemplify current debates on topics such as sustainability, digitality, artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship and inclusion. They illuminate the significance and influence of design research on socio-cultural transformation tasks. As an interface discipline, design as its own knowledge culture can counteract the fragmentation of knowledge areas and boost innovations in the context of economy, ecology and society.
The exhibition will be inaugurated by State Minister Markus Blume on Wednesday, 10 May 2023 at 6 p.m. as part of a vernissage.
In addition, a symposium will be held on Thursday, 11 May 2023, at mid-morning, with expert presentations and a panel discussion on the topic "Design Research - Disruption in the Research Sector?".
