Deutscher Zukunftspreis: Visions – City of the Future

The projects honored with the Deutscher Zukunftspreis stand for scientific excellence and clear benefits for society, the environment, and considerably so, for the economy.

The Federal President's Award for Technology an Innovation honors outstandig innovations. Ten of the award-winning projects can be found in the exhibition "Deutscher Zukunftspreis" at the Deutsches Museum.

The fascinating material carbon concrete is one of them and the basis of a future-oriented discussion at the mcbw 2023.

In the "Bridges and Hydraulic Engineering" section, a model structure made of carbon concrete can still be seen,
which has been awarded the special prize Exceptional Recognition in the “Award for Outstanding Concrete Structures” competition in 2022.

The possibilities offered by new materials, the opportunities for design and construction, and the vision that could become reality in a city of the future – these are the topics discussed by Prof. Manfred Curbach, TU Dresden and winner of Deutscher Zukunftspreis, and Prof. Gunter Henn, HENN Architekten, München, together with guest from the mcbw.
