Munich Creative Heart Beat - Interim uses in Munich

A guided walk through the #kreativmuenchen stores in downtown Munich.

Interim uses are temporary utilizations of buildings and spaces. Not only do they enable the emergence of something new in experimental and unexpected locations, but they also provide an ideal "start-up space" for founders within a protected framework of defined time and budget limits. The Kompetenzteam Kultur- und Kreativwirtschaft (Team of Excellence for the Cultural and Creative Industries) organizes interim uses of urban spaces for the cultural and creative industries, since the beginning of 2020 increasingly in the Munich city center. With 6 stores, 4 storefronts and an office floor at the Ruffinihaus, it currently offers Munich's cultural and creative professionals a variety of spaces and formats to pursue their entrepreneurial development. Here, creative ventures from the fields of visual arts, music, film, books, fashion, design, broadcasting, software games and architecture showcase their innovative concepts, thus adding fresh stimulus to the downtown area under the label "Munich Creative Heart Beat". During a guided walk, the Kompetenzteam provides the opportunity to explore these new spaces in the city and to meet the current "store owners" and the stakeholders from the Ruffinihaus to talk about their projects. The tour starts at the kreativmuenchen store on Rindermarkt.
