Design Thinking Challenge: Create your perfect tiny house!

Be inspired by materials that are being investigated and developed in current Fraunhofer research projects and build a small Tiny House model in no time.

What does resource-saving and sustainable building mean to you? What ideas have you always wanted to realize? The two-hour workshop serves as a teaser for the one-week Fraunhofer Summercamp Science, Art and Design from 3-9 September 2023 in Benediktbeuern.
At the summer camp, students gain an insight into ongoing research projects and work on them together
Fraunhofer researchers concepts and prototypes. In 2023, three teams will each pursue different approaches in order to design a tiny house that is as sustainable and livable as possible.
The "Future Material" team relies on high-tech materials fresh from the Fraunhofer research laboratories. The "Nature Materials" team works with natural resources that are available regionally. The "Re-use Materials" team, on the other hand, focuses on the reuse of existing building fabric.
