At this year's UD Award exhibition, you can witness innovative products, concepts and services that stand out for their cross-generational and intuitive usability.
Universal Design is the only design strategy in the world that is reflected in a human rights convention of the United Nations from 2006, already came into force in 2008 and has been signed by 181 states (including Germany) and the EU. For more than 10 years, the Universal Design Award has been presented as part of the munich creative business week. It is the only competition in which, in addition to a jury of experts, a consumer jury also evaluates and awards the products and concepts submitted. The exhibition provides the framework for discussions, work shops and Universal Design Sprints in participatory formats. The focus of the accompanying events this year is on the "small space" with the design claim of a hybrid and sustainable Universal Design.
The Universal Design Award exhibition will be accompanied by the kick-off of the "Auf Augenhöhe" ("At Eye Level") roashow, which will focus on the close relationship between Universal Design and the New Bauhaus movement and will travel from Munich to Hanover, Nuremberg, Vienna and Bolzano.
