At what point can a piece of furniture no longer fulfill its specific purpose of providing seating?
This question is being addressed by Schulz & Marschall in their objects, which find themselves on the fine line between seating furniture and sculpture.
In their artistic practice, the two industrial designers create works that seem to invite people to sit down, but would actually collapse under the weight of a person.
This results in objects that move dynamically in the wind, bend, make you want to touch them - but won't allow the spectator to be seated.
The exhibition shows a series of presumed seating objects made of nylon hair and bristles in different colors.
