Guided tour at the Deutsches Museum: Turning ideas into success

The future – visions are created today and demands must be defined now. How do innovations arise, how do materials and constructions change the realization of visions?

The vision of a “City of the future” is topic of a discussion event at the mcbw (10 May 2023). Based on the fascinating material carbon concrete, which was awarded the Deutscher Zukunftspreis, the focus will be on the value of innovative materials for design and construction, the environment and the economy.

In addition to this event and for all interested guests, there will be a guided tour at the Deutsches Museum (12 May 2023).
The award-winning innovation of Deutscher Zukunftspreis is part of the “Deutscher Zukunftspreis” exhibition. At the same time, carbon concrete is the building material of a very special award-winning model construction of a bridge set up in the “Bridges and hydraulic engineering” section of Deutsches Museum.

Curator Moritz Heber ( Bridges and Hydraulic Engineering) and Dr. Sabine Gerber (curator Deutscher Zukunftspreis) will make the connection during a guided tour and explain other exciting projects in the newly designed exhibition “Bridges and Hydraulic Engineering”.
